Wheelsets are the most important technical elements of railway vehicles. They cooperate directly between the rolling stock and the rails and their technical condition is the most important factor in the safety of train operations. There are two basic types of wheelsets: drive sets, i.e. those that perform a drive function, and rolling sets, i.e. those that are not driven but are freely rolling.

The main components of a wheelset are an axle and two running wheels mounted on it, which for a track of normal width, i.e. 1435 mm, are at a distance of 1360 mm (+/-3 mm) from each other. Depending on the intended use, additional elements may be mounted on the axles, related to the drive or brake system.

Via Cargo offers a wide range of wheelsets. These are both remanufactured and new sets. The new kits are based on Vyksa Steel Works wheels and LCK and Lobellix axles.
